Steps to locating a missing check
If the Check Was Cashed:
- Provide a Copy of the Canceled Check: Email us (outschol@pobox.upenn.edu) a copy of the front and back of the canceled check for us to research the missing payment. The account number stamped on the back of the check helps us identify which office may have deposited it.
If the Check Was Not Cashed:
- Confirm Mailing Details: Check the mailing date and confirm if it was sent to:

Outside scholarship funds will be applied directly to your bill. The total amount of all financial aid, including scholarships and loans, cannot exceed the established cost of attendance.
Loss of Work Study Funding
If your outside scholarship reduces or eliminates your outside scholarship you would not qualify for a work study position. If you have questions regarding your work study eligibility please contact seomail@pobox.upenn.edu.
