Full-Year Outside Scholarships

Effective beginning the 2025-2026 academic year, all outside scholarships will be processed for the entire academic year (Fall and Spring semesters) unless otherwise noted on your Outside Scholarship letter. Your outside scholarship letter must specifically state that the scholarship is for a single semester in order for our office to process it as such.

Full Year Scholarship Policy

Unless explicitly noted on your outside scholarship letter, our office will assume the same amount will be awarded for both semesters. 

Typically, this means we will be splitting the outside scholarship funds for both the Fall and Spring Semesters. For example, if our office receives a check for $10,000, we will allocate $5,000 to the Fall semester and $5,000 to the Spring semester. However, if we receive a $10,000 check in outside scholarship funds marked for the Fall semester, we will post an estimate of $10,000 for the Spring semester. 

If you will not be receiving the scholarship for the second semester (e.g. Spring semester), your organization must contact our office to ensure proper adjustments are made to your financial aid package. In these cases, we will process your outside scholarship according to our Single Semester Processing Policy.
