Taxes 101 for Undergraduate Students
5pm-6:30pm
JMHH G55

Your first time filing taxes on your own can seem complicated and confusing. But taxes don’t have to scare you! If you're a domestic undergraduate student, join the Corporate Tax, Compliance, and Payroll office and Financial Wellness @ Penn to learn about the basics of taxes. In this Taxes 101 session, we’ll explain how your tax withholding is calculated, an overview of the forms you might receive from the University, and how to read your W-2.

PLEASE NOTE: The Office of Corporate Tax, Compliance, and Payroll of the University of Pennsylvania is prohibited from advising any faculty, staff, or student regarding preparation of individual tax returns. Any tax information included in this workshop is not intended or written to be used, by the taxpayer, for the purpose of avoiding taxes or any penalties that may be imposed on the taxpayer by any governmental taxing authority or agency. Individuals should seek tax advice from an independent tax advisor to address questions based on their personal circumstances.

International students: The Office of Corporate Tax, Compliance, and Payroll has collaborated with International Student and Scholar Services to host two tax workshops specifically for international students. Details for those sessions can be found here:
