Don’t let the sticker price deter you. Choose between two simple tools to estimate your actual cost of attending Penn as an undergraduate student.
Penn offers two options for you to estimate your family’s costs and potential financial aid funding. We wish to emphasize that both of these tools are approximations based on limited information, and Penn cannot provide a fully accurate assessment of your aid eligibility until you are admitted and formally apply for financial aid.
Penn’s newest undergraduate financial aid policies were designed to lower costs for middle-income families, building on recent initiatives to support lower-income students. In response to the increasing financial needs of students from middle-income families, Penn announced The Quaker Commitment, a series of new financial aid policies effective for the 2025-2026 academic year, specifically designed to enhance the financial aid packages of middle-income students. To learn more about The Quaker Commitment, please visit https://srfs.upenn.edu/quaker-commitment.
Your first option is to complete our Quick College Cost Estimator, which we offer in partnership with MyinTuition. This tool will provide you with a ballpark estimate of your net cost to attend Penn based on six simple questions.
If you have more time and access to more financial records, you can use the Penn Net Price Calculator, which we offer in partnership with the College Board. For the most accurate estimate, you will want to gather student and parent tax returns, earning statements, bank and investment statements, and records of any untaxed income before beginning.
Disclaimer: the NPC estimate is not final, is not binding, and may change. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) to be eligible for and receive Federal Student Funds. You can apply for Federal Student Aid at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa
