Holds on Student Records & Accounts

Holds can block certain actions like registration or accessing grades. Below are some of the most common holds, how to remove holds, and who to contact with questions. Holds information can be viewed on Path@Penn by clicking the "View my student profile" link.

Note: The Office of the University Registrar cannot remove holds placed by other offices.

Advising:

Reason for hold: Incomplete academic action(s)

Successfully complete mandatory arrival reporting to ISSS in iPenn (watch the new student tutorial and submit the new student arrival reporting eform).
