2022-2023 Financial Aid Application Checklist

In order to be considered for Penn need-based financial aid, you must submit all of the following information by the dates listed. You must submit a new financial aid application each year. 

Deadlines

First-year and continuing students must submit their FAFSA and all required student and parent tax forms by May 1, 2022.

Applications for the 2021-22 Health Professional Loan are now closed

The FAFSA is available each year starting on October 1, so you can get an early start on next year's application.

FAFSA

Submit the Free Application for Federal Student AID (FAFSA) online to the U.S. Department of Education. Please include both student and parent information. 

We suggest using the IRS data retrieval tool for accuracy.

Penn's Federal School Code is 003378.

Parent Federal Tax Returns

Submit parent 2020 federal income tax returns, including all schedules, pages, and W-2 forms, to Student Financial Services.

Note: Parents don't file taxes? You still need to submit a Non-Tax Filer form confirming your parents' non-filer status or your application will remain incomplete.

How to Submit Documents to SRFS

Please send your tax returns directly to SFS, as Penn does not participate in CSS/IDOC Services.

To ensure the privacy of your information, please do not submit documents via email.
