U.S. Citizen Pre-Read Applications 2025-2026

Application Requirements

  1. We require a copy of all pages and schedules of your parents’ 2023 federal tax return, including W2 forms.
  2. We also require a copy of all pages and schedules of the student applicant’s most recent federal tax return, including W2 forms if applicable.
  3. If either parent holds an interest in a corporation, partnership, farm, or schedule C business, attach a copy of the most recent tax return, all pages and schedules.
  4. In cases where parents are divorced or separated, Penn expects both parents to participate in paying for a student’s education. In order to be considered for institutional grant-based funding, Penn requires financial information from both parents, which is factored into the total Parent Contribution. Your non-custodial parent needs to complete a Non-Custodial Parent Information Form. Families experiencing extenuating circumstances can write a letter of appeal documenting the time of separation or divorce, history of child support payments, frequency of contact, and any other pertinent information. Families should also supply any available third-party documentation from someone like a high school counselor, attorney, or clergy member.
