  3. For Divorced or Separated Parents
    • Financial aid information is required from both biological parents to determine a student's financial aid award.
    • The non-custodial parent must fill out the 2025-26 U.S. Noncustodial Parent Information Form. This should be completed after the Custodial Parent completes the online application Pre Read Application
      • The time of separation/divorce
      • The history of child support payments
      • Frequency of contact
      • Any other relevant information regarding your family situation
    • You should also submit any third-party documentation from professionals (like a high school counselor, attorney, or clergy member) that may help support your case.

If you are having challenges collecting your non-custodial parent's application requirements, you may submit a petition to have these requirements waived. Submitting a petition does not guarantee it will be approved, and you may be asked for more information. Requests based solely on your non-custodial parent's unwillingness to contribute or submit documents do not qualify for a waiver.
