Please refer to the “I am graduating this August and would like to order expedited processing of my CeDiploma. Note: The first name(s) and last name(s) on your diploma(s) must match the legal first name(s) and legal last name(s) of your student records. Your diploma(s) will not be printed until the first name(s) and last name(s) match. Names will appear exactly as entered. If you would like a period (.) after your Middle Initial(s), please make sure to include it in your submission.
  • Last day to provide an alternative email address via the Penn Directory. An alternative email is required to contact graduates once access to their Penn email addresses has been deactivated.

Important CeDiploma Information:

1. There is a $17.95 charge for this service.

2. A credential may not be available for all conferral dates.

3. The University of Pennsylvania diploma has been printed in Latin since its first graduating class in 1757. The CeDiploma is an exact replica and is also printed in Latin. Please click here to read an English translation.

4. Information on how to order a CeDiploma can be found on the Diploma/Translation Order Request Form FAQs page.

How to Register & Download the CeDiploma

Once your CeDiploma is available, you can access your CeDiploma by clicking Register/Download now. The Penn diploma is printed in Latin. The CeDiploma is an exact replica and is also printed in Latin.

Your CeDiploma does not become available until your degree is conferred on your academic records. Typically, the physical diploma and the CeDiploma are created at the same time. This means that the same timelines apply to the physical and CeDiploma (e.g., if your physical diploma would normally ship two months after graduation, you will have access to your CeDiploma approximately two months after graduation). The advantage of the CeDiploma is that you do not have to wait for shipping; you can access the CeDiploma while you wait for your physical diploma to arrive.

If you urgently require a diploma for certification or employment, you can purchase early access to your certified electronic diploma (CeDiploma). CeDiplomas are only made available after a student's degree or degrees are conferred to their academic records. For more information, please see the "What if I urgently need my diploma?" section of the Diploma FAQs for Graduating Students webpage.
